Purpose:

The Financial analyst will report directly into the Chief Operating Officer and provide exemplary customer service to external clients and administrative support to internal clients by performing all duties professionally and efficiently.

This position will be full-time on a 1-year Contract.

Role responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Prepare all monthly closing transactions and adjustments including depreciation calculations, expense accruals, etc.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations of balance sheet.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting packages for leadership team, Board of Directors, and senior leaders.
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for senior management as needed;
  • Liaison with Lender representatives on all matters pertaining to Credit Facility agreements;
  • Manage AR/AP processes and procedures.
  • Maintain and develop internal controls for the safeguarding of assets and the accurate and timely recording and reporting of financial information;
  • Manage cash flow across all accounts to ensure appropriate liquidity.
  • Management of payables and issuance of all payments;
  • Payroll preparation management (via Ceridian).
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets;
  • Complete and submit tax remittances and full regulatory compliance (HST, Income Tax, source deductions, etc.).
  • Coordinate year-end audit with external auditors and assist in the preparation of audit schedules, data, and information.
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems;
  • Train and supervise accounting clerk

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years office experience in an accounting/bookkeeping support capacity (preference for experience in the professional services industry)
  • Undergraduate degree, ideally with a focus on accounting
  • A professional accounting designation will be considered an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to identify and support needs of external and internal client base
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and NetSuite or any other ERP software
